Closed loop spray drying is a method in which a liquid is dispersed into a misty droplet in a closed drying chamber, and the mist is dried by a heat medium (nitrogen N2) to obtain a powdery product. Atomization can be achieved by a rotary atomizer or a nozzle atomizer. The drying of the droplets can be controlled by adjusting the temperature or flow rate of the heat medium. The evaporated solvent is recovered by the condensing unit and undergoes "dusting" and "full". The dehumidified medium is filtered by a high-efficiency filter, returned to the heat exchanger for heating, and finally recycled into the drying system.

 Successful operation of closed loop spray drying requires precise control of the temperature of the scrubbing and condensing sections. For high boiling point alcohols, it can generally be cooled with water or brine. Low boiling solvents such as dichloromethane, hexane, acetone and the like must be exchanged by a compression refrigeration system.

Characteristics
1. It is suitable for drying materials containing flammable solvents or materials with toxic gas release during drying;
2. Suitable for drying materials that need to be oxidized in the atmosphere or materials that enhance the aromatic content of the product;
3. It is required to completely recover the solvent to avoid the occasion where the solvent vapor and air are mixed to form an explosive gas;
4. It can perform low temperature drying operation below 100 °C, suitable for materials that are particularly sensitive to temperature;
5. Using inert gas as the drying medium, the medium can be recycled, so the thermal efficiency is high, and the heat in the exhaust gas can be recovered in large quantities through the heat exchanger;
6. It is easy to achieve sterilizing and dust-free operation to achieve low pollution and pollution-free production.
